BAYA

We are a social enterprise based in Bamenda, the Administrative headquarter of NorthWest Cameroon. 

 

BAYA was founded by Buriya, Marvellus and Lois, all award-winning youth advocates of women's rights. We believe in the power of information in changing lives and have witnessed this first-hand on the field. We also believe that development cannot be achieved if we do not stand up as youths to ensure equality in every sector for women and girls who make up over half of our population.

At BAYA we are passionate about women, health, economic development and ICTs.

 

We are a small but fast growing local development organization.

 

Our values:

i) Women are leaders: we value the role of women not just as mothers, sisters, wives and workers, but as leaders who can be at the forefront of development.

 

ii) Economic development and ICTs: we value the central role that technology plays and can play in our quest for sustainable development.

 

iii) Equality: we believe that all men and women are born equal. That underprivileged persons and disadvantaged groups should be supported to attain their personal and collective goals.
